Nicholas (Nick) Russell

Nicholas Andrew Russell passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 56 in Ritzville,

WA.

Nick was born February 16, 1970, in Walla Walla, Washington, the son of Richard and

Danette Russell. He graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1988.

Nick was a devoted husband, father, son, uncle, nephew, and friend whose presence

left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He was known for his kind heart, strong work

ethic, generosity, and his dedication to family. He approached life with compassion and

heart.

Throughout his life, Nick was passionate about his family, his years at Payless

Drugstore, his 27-year career as a District Manager at Ace Hardware, and all his Ace

colleagues across many states and stores. He also had great devotion to the Children’s

Miracle Network through his role at Ace. He cared a great deal about friends made in

Alaska and the causes he supported there, like the Iditarod.

Nick is survived by his wife of 22 years, Andrea, his daughter, Sarah (19), his son,

Garrett (18) all of Ritzville; his mother, Danette Russell; his father, Richard Russell of

Walla Walla, WA; and his sister, Kody Bliven, of Northport, NY; and multiple aunts,

uncles, nieces, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 1 p.m. at Danekas Funeral

Home in Ritzville, WA.

Flowers are welcome for the celebration of life service or donations can be made to the

Children's Miracle Network or the H.E. Gritman Senior Center in Ritzville.

Nick will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
