Charles John Schmidt Obituary

Charles J Schmidt was born November 15th, 1946 in Spokane, Wa to Albert and Molly Schmidt. He attended Ritzville schools starting in kindergarten, and he graduated from Ritzville High School in 1965. The friends he made in school became his lifelong friends. The first love of his life was every car he owned starting with a 1957 Chev Bel Air and ending with a 1955 Chev. He married Faye in 1973 and became a father to Shelly. In 1974 Nikki was born. Charles and Faye recently celebrated 51 years of marriage! Charles farmed his grandfather's homestead for all of his adult life. He retired from farming in 2020. Charles and Faye loved to travel and have fun. Their favorite spot was Las Vegas! We will miss his wonderful dry humor. He is survived by his wife, Faye Schmidt, Shelly Noyer daughter(David Noyer), Nikki Miller daughter(Jason Miller), Brandon Eash, and Tim Eash grandsons, Dirk Dahlman grandson, Madison Miller granddaughter, and Seth Miller grandson. Great grandchildren, Conner, Wyatt and Octavia. Preceded in death by his father, Albert Schmidt (1974), his Mother, Molly Schmdit (2017), and brothers George Stohr (1972), and Don Stohr(2024). After a brief and hard fought battle with cancer he passed away in his lifelong home May 7th, 2024. At his request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Lutheran Cemetery Fund or Ritzville Ambulance Association.
